Originating in vines over 20 years old, implanted in well-drained clay-limestone soils, this wine reveals a beautiful ruby color, aromas of forest fruits, some balsamic notes (eucalyptus) and intense freshness revealing the strong Atlantic character. The mouth is intense with balanced acidity, silky and well balanced tannins. The finish is balanced and fresh with roundness and harmony.
Granade color, elegant aromas of ripe fruits and spices, with a slight touch of vanilla. The mouth is structured and harmonious, presenting tannins of excellent quality, ending up in an extensive, silky after taste.
Goes very well with roasted spicy meats and cheeses.
Keep in dry and fresh place, horizontally, away from direct sunlight.
Castelão, Tinta Roriz, Alicante Bouschet and Syrah. Manual vintage into plastic cases during the 3rd week of September, with selective pick on vibratory table before stripping the grapes. Fermentation in low capacity stainless steel vats, at a temperature of 24ºc, and an extensive 12 day maceration. The wine was submitted to a 6 month aging in American and French oak barrels.
